Inscription: 1907 Chapman Bayonet 22” The James A. Chapman Pattern 1907 (P1907) bayonet is a historic World War I British military blade designed to fit the Lee-Enfield No. 1 Mk III* rifle. Production Count: James A. Chapman Ltd. manufactured approximately 300,000 P1907 bayonets during World War I, making them less common than massive producers like Wilkinson Sword or Sanderson. Dimensions: Features a 17-inch (430–432mm) single-edged blade with a long narrow fuller, for an overall length of roughly 21.75 inches. Markings: Early production blades are typically stamped with the maker's mark "J.A.C.", while later examples spell out "CHAPMAN". Ricasso stamps often include the reigning monarch's cypher (such as King George V's crowned "GR"), the pattern date 1907, inspection stamps, and a bend-test mark.
